Triple Threat FX System – Don’t Be Threatened By Our “Genuine” Review

Triple Threat FX is an intensive Forex Course  due to launch mid February 2010 and consists of 3 Trading Systems which are taught by 14 year trading pro Todd Brown.

Why is this Triple Threat FX  Review different?
Well, I’m not going to go on about the details of the Triple Threat FX like most other bloggers will (if you’re interested… see the bottom of this post), instead I’ve decided to do a bit of research into Todd Brown, the trader behind Triple Threat FX, to see if he’s the real deal with a proven track record or just another “has been” trader flogging snake oil.

Who is Todd Brown?
My first investigation lead me to an exclusive course that he has been offering to just 30 traders a time at a pricey $4997. You can find it here at http://www.lifestylefxtrader.com. It looks like this is a fairly new venture. By looking at the About Us page you will see that it is dated 1st October 2009. On this page it also mentions an outfit called TheTradingAuthority. I heard of these guy a year or so ago so did a quick search on Google and found the site http://www.thetradingauthority.com.

Now, here’s something interesting… stay with me on this:

  • The Trading Authority About Us page states that Todd Brown is a 12 year veteran of the markets
  • The Lifestyle FX Trader About Us page (which looks like it was only created about 6 months ago) says Todd is a 14 year veteran… something smelt fishy!
  • Until I saw at the footer of The Trading Authority site it had copyright 2007… which validates the fact that he now has 2 more years experience in the markets.

So far so good.

What do his students think?
It’s impossible to find reviews about a course that hasn’t had any students through it yet… but you can find reviews of students who have completed his other courses (namely the one’s mentioned above). Here are just a couple I found that sounded genuine:

ForexReviews.com, a site that orders, tests and reviews forex products using a panel of experienced Forex Traders, gave The Trading Authority 4 stars (see below)

Here’s another Trading Authority review found on the Trade2Win Forum and posted by a member who appears quite genuine. His other posts showed that he had quite a good level of trading FX experience. Below is just a snippet of his full reply which was too wide to screenshot, so I’ll paraphrase… Basically, he joined the Trading Authority after using their free trial period several times and ended up speaking to Todd in person for 20 minutes. The quote that sums it up was “its a bit pricey but they are pretty good”.

So, according to the above reviews, of which were the only two I could really find, it appears the Trading Authority looks like a sound investment. So, if you are using history as a yard stick then you’d be inclined to say that Todd Brown and his new Triple Threat FX System were worth putting on your consideration list.
