1st LMD-Multicurrency, 2nd HiRIDER – Forex Robot World Cup “Inside Scoop”

The end to this years Forex Robot World Cup was a bit of a “one horse race”. With the only two notable performers being LMD-Multicurrency and HiRIDER. Add to this LMD had more than doubled the profits of HiRIDER with a few weeks to go there could only be one winner. Well done LMD for (what I would consider) quite an aggressive strategy… it paid off in the end.

BREAKING NEWS 15/02/2010: The Forex Robot World Cup team have just announced they have created a new Robot that’ll combine the 5 best of this years finalists! It’ll be called Fusion-V. Plus, they have already live traded it for 19 days straight and it made a staggering 226 Trades and a return of 355.46%… truly incredible.

Soon for a short period of time the Forex Robot World Cup will allow the public to purchase these winning Robots for their own use. The question on my mind is:

“Which Robot should I buy?”

Given the nature of the competition you’d think it would be fairly easy to answer… well it is for me… but may not be for some. Without hesitation I’ll be ordering HiRIDER, the runner up. Why? Well, it’s simple, even though LMD returned an impressive 145.60% in just 2 months, its returns were not consistent enough to give me the confidence I need to run this Robot over the long term. Added to this the Drawdown was quite high at 34.06% and there was no indication that this was the maximum drawdown you would face if you traded this for a longer period of time.

HiRIDER, on the other hand, had very consistent results, a higher level of accuracy and very little Drawdown (only 3.26%). Although it’s final return wasn’t as high at 80.11% this is still an unbelievable return in such a short period of time.

How much will they cost?

I have it on good authority that these Robots will not be cheap, with the price (expected to be $1299 per robot [UPDATE: Confirmed at a more affordable $999]) putting them out of reach of most newbie traders. Hence, why I ll only be ordering HiRIDER and not LMD. One thing you may want to consider however is if you were to join me in ordering HiRIDER, within 2 months you could potentially make back your initial investment and the rest is just pure profit.

UPDATE: $999 gets you all the FRWC robots…

But what if you only want HiRider?

There seems to be a solution… take a look at the comment by Mikhail at the end of this post, it appears he’s connected HiRider and Fusion to his Zulu Trade account (Zulu Trade is a free service which has alot of similarities to the Forex Robot World Cup and works like Twitter… but instead of following your friends you follow traders who automatically place trades for you, in your live account, in real time). I opened a Zulu Trade account a few weeks ago and can confirm that it’s legit and an easy way to take advantage of some top traders and EA’s just like owning the systems youself… the only thing to bear in mind is that it doesn’t let you trade Micro Lots so be mindful of your drawdown on a small account. To get use to Zulu Trade I recommend opening a demo account first.

Why are they priced so high?

This is simply due to four things:

  • These are independently created Forex Robots
  • They beat over 240 other robots to compete in the World Cup
  • They have been tested on live trading accounts for 2 months
  • You get to cherry pick the best of the best for your own personal use

How do I order one?

They’ll be made available to the world for a short period of time from 9am EST Tuesday 16th February 2010. Click the link below to order your copy today…

I am looking for a copy of the Hi Rider but i am not interested in all of the rest including the Fusion Bot. i like the simplicity and steady curve of the Hi rider. unfortunately this is not an option with the Forex World Cup- it is all or nothing situation. Any ideas?

    Hi Todd,

    I see your frustration.

Maybe someone else out there can help?

    Hi,
I’m interested in Zulutrade as well and I have run a demo account for almost a month.
I have found some systems that I like, but even those can have very large drawdowns, such as Build the Case, Isunia, Gradual Increase and Kingmax. I have one system called COO that currently has a drawdown of $10000.00 on a 1 lot position!
I was just wondering which system works best for you
    Thanks
    Gerhard Fussle
